Baby fun

Been taking a few pictures the last few days. Thought we'd post them and share the joy. Brooklyn has been doing great and growing like weed. She's been disovering her voice recently and making a lot of cooing noises which is a lot of fun. I especially enjoy the curly hair when it's wet.

So, we dressed Brooklyn up in this super cute sweater and hat outfit from one of the sweet ladies in my home ward and took lots of pictures. Halle our neice climbed up on Brian's lap today and grabbed Brooklyn's hand and just sat there loving life...SO CUTE!! here are the pics:

Alright, so life has started up again since break is over. Caitlyn is back to work since having Brooklyn. She's said to leave Brooklyn, but I must say, I love being a daddy all day. Brooklyn is such a sweetheart. Adelaide has been awesome and babysits while I'm in choir. So over break we watched the first 5 seasons, every episode, of the office. Now i'm stuck on Lost, i'm still in the first season though.

So the last time we posted anything was when we took Caitlyn's maternity pictures. Well, that was quite awhile ago and now we have a baby. She is no longer in the tummy. Her name is Brooklyn Adelaide Smith. She was born at 8:15 pm on November 19th, 2009. She was 7 lbs and 14 oz. and 19 1/2 in. long. At the two week appointment she had gained 17 oz. and had grown two in, already. She's super healthy and strong. She has pretty red hair like her beautiful mamma. At 6 weeks old she now weighs 10 lbs and 10 oz. and is 22 1/2 in. long. Caitlyn has recovered wonderfully. Other than the fact that she's super super sad about the idea of going back to work on monday and having to leave Brooklyn during the day. She's healthy though, we just had her first appointment since having Brooklyn and everything was great.
School has been good, but it's been super nice to have Christmas break to relax and hang out with Brooklyn. Caitlyn will graduate in April once she's done with her internship teaching this year. I have two classes this semester, Developmental Psychology: Adolescence, and Developmental Psychology: Adulthood. I also got a position working on campus as an Academic advisor. I'll be helping psychology students on academic warning or probation so fix their academic standing and stuff. It'll be fun, and it'll take care of all of my capstone credits to be able to graduate. So that's awesome. I'm also taking another EMT class, this time for Intermediate. I'll be able to get a better job this way or at least hopefully be able to get a job a little bit easier.

Maternity Pictures

Hey all, sorry it's been so long since we have posted! This fall has been crazy busy for us, and not too much is going on other than lots of work and school, but I guess that's a good thing! I am loving teaching, my students are so sweet and its been fun to finally apply all that I have learned the last 4 years...and get paid for it :). Brian is doing great too...he comes home every day and will tell me some weird/cool anatomy thing he learned in class and I will usually get totally grossed out...lol! It's also been way fun setting up all the cute baby stuff we have accumulated, most of it from awesome family and friends (thank you guys!!). We are getting more and more excited/anxious to finally meet our little girl!! Now that it is October I have been eagerly telling people that she is due "next month"! Yay!

So anyways, this weekend we went up to Logan to visit Dan and Kellee and take maternity pictures. It was SUPER fun, and we had a blast hanging out with everyone! Haha, so I didn't really realize how super pregnant I look until seeing these pics...from my perspective, I just see less and less of my feet these days! Anyways, so here are some of the highlights of the session...

It's Brian....

Well, Caitlyn started work this week, she actually starts teaching on tuesday. I start class again on tuesday. We've had a busy couple of weeks with getting Caitlyn ready for school and getting her classroom all set up and ready as well. Caitlyn is now almost 27 weeks along so we're counting down now, only about 13 weeks left to go. Adelaide got back last night too, we went to pick her up at the airport. She's excited to be back here in provo. I'm all certified as an EMT-Basic. Trying to get a job, but it's a little hard. As for now I'm still at Nicolitalia Pizzeria, I like it there though, it's a good job. Anyways, that's all I got...
